Welcome to Calvary Church Lakewood!
Calvary Church is a new church plant dedicated to making joyful, passionate disciples of Jesus Christ. We hope to reach Lakewood not because of its growth potential, but because we see a growing city that’s lost its way. We’re here to reach the broken and the neglected with a Gospel-centered message about our Savior’s love. We’re here to establish a loving community to help the people of Denver grow in their faith. We’re here to make Jesus non-ignorable in the mile high city and to the ends of the earth. Will you join us?
Please join us if you’d like to get involved with Calvary Church Lakewood.
What to expect on Sunday mornings:
Calvary Lakewood is a safe place to come and explore and ask questions about Jesus and who he claims to be. You don’t need to worry about wearing special clothes, when the last time you went to church was, or having all of your “t’s” crossed and “i’s” dotted. We are a church full of imperfect people who depend on the grace of God through Jesus Christ every day. As a church we desire to serve the neighborhoods of Central Lakewood. Whether you have lived in Lakewood for 2 years or 82 years, we hope you would be encouraged by a visit to Calvary. We are not a perfect church but strive to be an authentic community of people who love God, love each other, and love our city. We would love to meet you!
Our Calvary Kids childcare is provided every Sunday with activities and lessons from the Gospel Project curriculum.
Our 4 Core Commitments
One of our 4 Core Commitments at Calvary Church is to GROW to know God deeply. This happens in many different environments, most notably through Sunday services, Community Groups, and DNA Discipleship Groups. Calvary also has additional environments for growth through Bible studies, serving in various ministries, outreach, and missions.
Our desire is is to see people saved and then grow continually in their love and devotion to Christ, as Paul prayed for the Colossians: “And so, from the day we heard, we have not ceased to pray for you, asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, so as to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to him, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God.”
