WHY COMMUNITY GROUPS & DNA GROUPS?
Our large-scale Sunday gatherings are important for being part of the body of Calvary. But just as important to our vision of the Christian life are our small-scale weekday gatherings, which we call Community Groups and DNA Groups. Here is how these two types of group work together. Community Groups and DNA groups alternate weeks throughout the Fall and Spring Semesters and in the summer we do something different but similar.
On the week we do Community Groups we call those weeks MEAL WEEKS. On the week we do DNA Groups we call those weeks STUDY WEEKS.
Community Groups meet in the evening in homes and share a meal together. Community Groups discuss questions related to the most recent sermon preached at Calvary. Community Groups also provide childcare for the sermon discussion portion of the evening.
DNA Groups are smaller gender-divided groups that may meet in a home or at a coffee shop, and may meet in the evening or during the day.
GUESTS ARE WELCOME TO VISIT A GROUP AT ANY TIME.
Community Groups meet weekdays from 6-8pm.
If you need help identifying which group might be best for you or have questions, contact us at Lakewood@thecalvary.org
